     ——Research and prospect of R57 removing water-F

  Several years ago,during the research into treating a kind of disease with 
R57,the writer found that there was strong affinity between R57 and fluorine
ions.Immediately after R57 was integrated with the water F,white precipitate
appeared. By chemical examination (analysis), it was confirmed that  a great 
number of fluorine ions in water were removed miraculously.

  Overmuch F-content in drinking water is a main cause  leading  to  endemic 
fluorosis.Compared with other countries , fluorosis in  China  is relatively 
serious.Fluorosis endangers  large population and covers large area ,and has 
aroused close attention and care of our government . Medical  and scientific 
workers have been studying and probing the method of deereasing the water-F.
  After many years of hard work combining with actual situation in disease 
area,they concluded that opening up the low F-content water resource(such as
dig deep well or draw the river)or applying physical and chemical removing F
techonology can solve the drinking water problem of people in disease area.
  However ,in practice,they found these methods were still not perfect ,so,
it was difficult to supply pure drinking water for the disease area.
  Majority of disease areas of the endemic fluorosis  locate in dry or  half
-dry countrysides which are uneasy to rind.Therefore , finding a simple  and 
convinient physical and chemical method of removing F becomes  an  important 
research subject.in recent years,both WHO and our government inrest to  help 
this research.For decades years,in finding ideal chemical methld of removing 
F,it is mainly concerned that researching into the active aluminium oxide and
calcium,phosphate etc,as well as perfecting the technology of removing F both
abroad and at home.Present research focus on selecting the material of remov-
ing F and which though has made  some  progress,there  ars some  problems in 
practical use.
  So far,it has not been reported about the research into  R57  even abroad ,
there are only quite few countries which ever put forward to  do  experiment 
about this kind of substance in latest years.In 1995,Wasay,s. Tokunaga  etc.
reported that R57 removing F series was feasible.They tried removing the F 
in water solution with this kind of substance and the result of this experi-
ment made them satisfactory.The result of this research showed that it  was 
quite effective for R57 to be used for removing the water F.Then,they  made 
some exploration about effecting factors of R57 removing F and which provided
valuable information for later practical use.Now the results of this research
are reported as following:
⒈⒈Material and method
  R57-99.99% purity,mixed with ions pure water made up  to the 0.5% R57 for
later use.
  Experiment water is F-content water with different density made by tap 
water.
  PXD-2 common ion electrometer is used to analyze water-F.
  Three groups in experiment,put 0.5% R57 solution to different F-content 
water, 
group①:Water-F is 14.35mg./L,50ml,put 5ml R57 solution into it and mix,lay
it aside under 15~25℃ for 24 hours,
group②:6.07mg/L water F,50ml,put 1.0ml R57 solution into it ,lay it aside 
for 24 hours , 
group③ : water-F  5.38mg/L,50ml,put 0.5ml,1ml R57 solution into them,lay 
them aside for 2 hours.Take the clear above solution of three groups after 
being laid aside and analyze and test them.

Result from chart indicates :
⒈Caculating acurding to the experiment cordition of group
  ① ,after adding 5ml R57 solution,rate of removing F is 96.1%.
⒉Caculating according to the results of group ① and group ② ,1mg R57  is 
able to remove 0.027mg water-F.For instance,if the water F of desease  area 
is 5~6mg/L ,to mkae one ton of high F-content water become standard drinking
water (the water-F is below 1mg/L) needs about 200g R57.
⒊To make best effect of R57 removing F,at least over 10 hours are necessary.
⒉Prospect
⒉⒈Feasibility of  applying R57
  R57 is colourless transparent crystal  which presents  weak acid property.
It is easy to be dissolved in water.Its chemical  character is very  active 
and has strong affinity with  fluorine ions .  Ion spouse object forms  ion 
spouse bond complex compound by static electricity gravitation and  produce 
harddissolved R57 F,therefore,R57 is reliable to remove the water-F.

  Biological effects of R57 series:by Jiang's report ,1mg R57  nitric acid 
nitrate  can make half of big mice and guinea pig whose weight  is  during 
1397-1832mg/kg dead,so,it is not very poisonous substance.It is also reported
that the research into poisonousness to live in water of R57 shows that 96 
hours TLM of silver carp grass carp and loach  is  22.87~160.43 mg/L,  R57 
doesn't cause obvious poisonousness reaction of every kinds of tested living
things.Land have synthetic DNA RNA which can promote growing of cell,small
dose of them can protect the liver tissue of big mice.
  Qrganism's absorptivity to R57 indicates that absorptivity of mouth and 
stomach  is  0.05% so,it is safe for people to use R57.
  In medicine and clinical medicine,it is  believed  that  R57  can  resist 
coagulation,prevent atherosclesosis,cure diebetes,dephlogisticate and resist
cancer etc,
⒉⒉Prespect of application
  Drinking fluorosis is widely dispersed all over the world . It has  been 
found in Europe,Asia and Africa.According to the statistics in 1991, there 
are 1212disease counties in our  country,which take up 43% of all counties.
More than one hundred million people are threatened by high F-content water.
In Shanxi  province ,the disease  exists in 64 counties and cities.Fluorosis 
disease areas mainly located in  dry and half-dry area where hydrologic and
geologic situation is very  complicated.In the past,according to the   data 
from the water improving  meeting  of China in 1991,among the  projects  of 
digging deep well and drawing river ,1/3  projects  can  not  supply  water 
normally,because of  unreparied  motor-pumped  well ,scapped deep wells and 
broken pumps etc.Futhermore,demanding of good  skill , and  need  of  large 
quatity of removing F  medicine  make  the  method  of  chemical removing F 
difficult to spread in desease areas, especially  in  poor  mountain  areas.
Though some provinces distrifute fens thousand even several hundred million
￥over the disease areas to improve the water,the results of supervising and
examining show that at present,F-content of drinking water for residents in 
disease areas is still higher than normal  standard , even  in  some  areas,
F-content is much more higher than mormal standard,so that fluorosis happens
constantly.
  Experiment about R57 removing water-Findicates that it overcame all  the 
above questions caculating according to the experiment ,to deal with a ton 
of 3~6mg/L high F-content water needs about 100~200g removing F agent  The 
cost of this  is just 1~2￥(the cost maybe lower than 1~2￥  if  bug  them 
considerably). If only dealing with drinking water,each family  only spends 
0.05￥ everyday. This is better than present popular chemical and  physical 
methods abroad and at home.It is also very simple to design and make a kind
of  machine for flmily  to  remove the water-F . Low price,convinience  and 
reliable effect make it  suitable to supply water  for   seperatedly-lived 
single family.So,R57 removing F skill  (technololgy) ,has  good prospect of 
application and economic profits.
  Development of time needs beautiful living environment ,people in disease
areas desire to drink low F-content water in order to survive.I anticipate 
R57 can be soon applied in our country,even in the world,in all the fluorosis
areas and make all the people of disease areas can early get out of the 
danger of high F-content water and stride to 21 century in good health.
